The private pool between whitewashed walls and old-town stone

Fenisia Guest House

An 18th-century house in the old town, all to yourselves: five en-suite bedrooms, a private pool in the inner courtyard and the village square just steps away.

An 18th-century home in the heart of the village

Fenisia Guest House is an 18th-century house in the old town of Campi Salentina, right by the main square. You step in through a doorway carved with the date 1822, and time slows down: whitewashed walls, stone vaults, very high ceilings.

Restored in 2015 in keeping with Salento's traditional architecture, it is all on one floor and opens onto two courtyards: the entrance courtyard with its climbing plants, onto which the bedrooms open, and the inner garden with the pool, trees and an old well.

It is rented in full to up to 11 guests: no one else stays here, and electricity comes from the house's solar panels. Outside the door is a real Italian village, with coffee in the square, the bakery, the shops and the festival lights of summer.

A personal welcome

Fenisia Guest House is the house Pierangelo brought back to life with his family. He is the one who answers your requests.

When you arrive, someone is there to meet you: they open the front door, walk you round the courtyards and bedrooms and share their tips on the village.

We had the most incredible stay at this house! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how stunning the property is. Each room having its own private bathroom was a huge plus, making it the perfect choice for our group. The pool area was an absolute highlight—beautifully maintained and offering a great space to relax and enjoy the sun. Communication with the host was seamless and easy, making our experience even better. I celebrated my 30th birthday here, and it couldn’t have been more special. The attention to detail in every part of the house really stood out, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. Thank you for creating such a wonderful space for unforgettable memories!

A Perfect Base in Puglia

If you are going to Puglia and need a base, this is the place. There are not a lot of options in the region with 5 bedrooms and 5 1/2 bathrooms with a pool. The town is small but everything you possibly need is in walking distance. Several grocery stores, a specialty deli, a fish store, fresh pasta store, meat market and vegetable stores all on Via Taranto. While there is no nightlife, there are several places to get a cocktail before dinner and gelato after dinner. The restaurants are good, but we had more fun cooking our meals at the house. The house is perfect and charming. You enter through a wood door to find 4 bedrooms around a courtyard (the photos with the blue doors) then you enter the main house into the sitting room and to the right is the master. From the sitting area you enter the large dining room and then to the right a perfectly stocked kitchen. Behind the kitchen is the laundry room and a half bath. The best part of the house is the pool area which has a reading room off to the side. This could be used as an extra bedroom. Our hosts were amazing and attentive and the people in town welcomed us! There is a wine coop within walking distance that we found too late (it's only open 8-12) and a short drive to Guagnano you will find the Cantele Winery.

We had a very warm personal welcome when we arrived! The location is even more beautiful than on the pictures! Everything was very clean and very cosy and stylish decorated. The town is a little very cosy place where you can find everything; bakery, butcher, restaurants, supermarket... The location is an ideal starting point to discover the beautiful surrounding!

Charming town. Great House!

Tons of space and lots of privacy for everyone. Great entertaining / dining area and the pool is perfect for kids and adults alike. The house is right in the middle of a charming little town. You can walk to many shops and restaurants. Literally loved everything about it!

Wonderful accommodation with amazing pool

We had a lovely time in the centre of mCampi Salentina which is a small town with picturesque square and some good pubs, bars, cafes, ice cream parlour and supermarkets. You enter via a historic door to a stone courtyard where there is access to individual rooms. Each room has a bathroom, fridge, tv etc. Then there is the main house with kitchen and living room and pool courtyard beyond. The arrangement was perfect for our party of 6 adults and 5 kids. Kitchen was well appointed and everything worked. Pool was superb and big enough for kids to play in. Host was available and helpful but not intrusive. Double beds were quite firm by English standards but the majority of our party were raving that once tried they gave the best nights sleep they had ever had. Tv reception was a little unreliable and I am not sure if there were racks to hang towels and swim wear etc but we just hang on chairs outside as it was so hot. Bathrooms were working well and clean but with a few minor improvements could be perfect such as new shower head. In general an extremely beautiful, clean, characterful property and I would strongly recommend it to anyone looking to visit this area of Puglia.

Lovely property, felt like an oasis. Next to a piazza with a lot of activity. Close to bars, coffee, restaurants, and stores. Really enjoyed our stay. Check in was easy. We never had an issue parking. It was easy to gather as a group and also have seperate areas for privacy. Close to Lecce too about a 15 min drive, lots to do there as well.

On the square, in the heart of Salento

The house is on Via Taranto, in the old town of Campi Salentina, a few steps from Piazza Libertà with its mother church and town hall. Cafés, a bakery, a gelateria, a fishmonger and restaurants are all within walking distance; behind the front door, though, all is quiet.

Campi lies halfway between the Adriatic and the Ionian Sea: Lecce is fifteen minutes away, the beaches 20–30 minutes. To the north lie Ostuni, Cisternino, Alberobello and Martina Franca; to the south Otranto, Gallipoli, the Alimini lakes and Santa Maria di Leuca. All around are Negroamaro vineyards, with historic wineries less than ten minutes away.

Looking for countryside calm? Try Masseria Mattiani

If you prefer silence and more privacy, Masseria Mattiani, also looked after by Pierangelo, is a few minutes' drive from the centre of Campi Salentina: an old 17th-century farmhouse in the open countryside. No neighbours and no town noise: just the olive grove, the orchard, the vegetable garden and a pond all around.

The house is all on the ground floor, with five en-suite bedrooms under star vaults of Lecce stone and a 12 × 6 m saltwater pool in the shade of the trees. It is rented as a whole to families and groups of up to 12; for dinner in the piazza or the shopping, the town is still only a few minutes away.

It is about 35 minutes by car from Brindisi. On request we give you the contact of a local transfer service for up to 9 people, which you book directly with them.
